Begin Your Journey

  1. Register your name in the Challenger's Ledger or sign in if you are a returning challenger.
  2. Create your Champion from the Player menu.
  3. Recruit allies to your party - It's dangerous to climb alone.
  4. Visit the Market to acquire gear. Rarer equipment unlocks as you ascend.
  5. Enter the Tower and battle through each floor. Claim loot and experience from your fallen foes.
  6. Spend your hard-earned experience on Upgrades from the Dashboard.

Tome of Knowledge

What are Rounds?
The Tower operates in cycles. When a new Round begins, all Champions start fresh - new characters, empty inventories, untouched floors. It's a race to the top! Compete against fellow Challengers to see who can climb highest and claim the most glory.
What is Renown?
Renown is your eternal legacy. While Champions come and go with each Round, Renown persists forever. Earn it through your deeds and spend it on powerful permanent upgrades that give you an edge in future Rounds.
Why should I keep playing?
Each Round is a fresh opportunity for glory! Climb the leaderboards, earn Renown for permanent power, and refine your strategies. Veterans who've accumulated Renown upgrades gain meaningful advantages - your experience literally pays off.
How do rarities work?
Artifacts range from Common to Legendary. Higher rarities unlock on deeper floors and grant more powerful enchantments.
What is an Ultimate item?
Ultimate artifacts channel devastating power but require time to recharge between uses.
Can I trade items?
Aye. Visit your Inventory to send treasures to fellow adventurers or navigate to the player's list and click the two arrows to initiate a trade.
What is Speed?
Speed fills your initiative gauge. When it reaches 100, you act. If multiple combatants reach 100 simultaneously, fate decides who strikes first.
How does combat work?
Battle unfolds in turns. When your moment comes, you'll strike a random foe. Prepare wisely - the Tower shows no mercy.
How do Tower floors work?
Each hour, you receive a Key to the Tower. All party members must possess a Key to challenge a floor together. Victory brings gold, experience, and perhaps rare loot. Should you fall or retreat, a Free Fail will spare your Key from being consumed.
What is a Free Fail?
Every four hours, the Tower grants you one Free Fail - a ward that protects your Key should you meet an untimely end.
What do the scaling numbers mean?
Numbers in parentheses show how much an attribute grows per tier. A sword with +5 Attack (+2) at Common would have +7 at Tier 2, +9 at Tier 3, and so on.

Attributes

Attributes imbue your equipment with magical properties. These are the attributes you may discover upon your artifacts.

Anti-Heal
For the duration of the debuff, healing effects are reduced by a percentage.
Attack
Increases your attack damage.
Block
Reduces damage taken equal to the amount of block. Afflictions (poison, burn, and freeze) are not affected by block.
Burn
Applies burn to target. When target attacks, take damage equal to burn stacks and reduce stack by half.
Challenger
Deal damage to the target with the highest attack damage. This damage is not able to be guarded.
Cleanse
Removes poison or burn stacks. If both poison and burn stacks are on a target, it will remove the affliction with more stacks first.
Cold Snap
Consumes freeze stacks from a secondary target that has freeze stacks to deal a percentage of the freeze stacks as damage to the main target. The consumed freeze stacks are then applied to the main target. If no secondary target exists or no secondary target has freeze stacks, the target is instead slowed. Slow scales with item rarity (10, 12, 14, 16, 18)
Combustion
Detonate all burn stacks on your target for extra damage based on item rarity (1.25x, 1.5x, 1.75x, 2x, or 2.25x damage multiplier), and spread a percentage of the burn stacks consumed to all enemies. The amount of burn stacks spread increases with item tier.
Damage
Extra normal damage during your turn.
Dispersion
Reduce incoming affliction application by a percentage. Also gain siphon. Percentage reduction increases with rarity (30, 35, 40, 45, 50).
Dissipate
Whenever you block damage, cleanse self for a percentage of the damage blocked.
Drain
Deals additional damage and heals for the amount of damage dealt. This damage can be blocked.
Focused Cleanse
Cleanses an ally with the most poison and burn stacks.
Focused Heal
Heals the ally with the lowest percent of health.
Focused Regen
Apply regeneration buff to the ally with the lowest percent of health.
Fortitude
When you intervene for an ally, recover some health.
Freeze
Applies freeze to target. When target receives stacks equal to one third of max health, target is stunned for one turn.
Frost Bite
Apply freeze stacks to your attacker when attacked.
Guard
Chance to intervene for your allies and take the hit instead.
Harden
Gain Redirect and take less damage until your next turn. The damage reduction is based on item rarity (30%, 35%, 40%, 45%, 50%).
Hasten
Increase the initiative of the target.
Heal
Recovers health on the target.
Health
Increases your base health.
Holy Shield
Cleanses poison or burn stacks. If the target has no poison or burn stacks or the amount of holy shield applied is greater than the target's total poison and burn stacks, an affliction shield is applied which prevents future poison or burn applications. 1 holy shield prevents 1 poison or burn stack.
Icy Veins
When you attack, you have a chance to consume freeze stacks from the target to gain attack.
Poison
Applies poison to the target. When a target with poison attacks, they take damage equal to their poison stacks and the stack is reduced by 1.
Redirect
Redirect some damage from allies to yourself instead.
Regen
Recover health on your turn. 1 Regeneration equals 1 health. After health is recovered from regeneration stacks, the amount of regeneration stacks is reduced by half (rounded down).
Resurrect
Bring a fallen ally back to life.
Seeking
Targets the enemy with the lowest HP. If multiple enemies have the same HP, the first enemy will be selected.
Shatter
Apply freeze stacks and then double them. If this stuns the target, deal damage to the target and all of its allies equal to 10% of the target's max health .
Singed
Apply burn stacks to your attacker when attacked.
Siphon
Siphon some poison, fire, or freeze stacks from allies to yourself when they're being applied.
Slow
Reduce the initiative of the target.
Speed
Increases your base speed.
Stone Wall
When your health goes below 30%, you gain additional block.
Strengthen
Increases target's attack stat.
Stun
Stuns target for one turn. While stunned, the target can not attack and their ultimate cooldown will not be reduced. Regeneration will still trigger on a stunned entity.
Thorns
Deals normal damage to your attacker when attacked.
Toxic
Apply poison stacks to your attacker when attacked.
Weaken
Reduces target's attack stat.
Whirlwind
Converts your attack into an attack that hits all enemies. The damage dealt to all enemies is a percentage of your total attack damage.

Below lies a catalog of all equipment available to Challengers. Use the rarity selector to see how attributes scale at higher tiers. Note that mightier items demand proof of your worth: Uncommon gear requires clearing Floor 20, Rare gear Floor 40, Epic gear Floor 60, and Legendary gear Floor 80.

Aegis ULT

When activated, until your next turn whenever you block damage, cleanse self for a percentage of the damage blocked.

Blazing Speed

When you attack, apply burn to your target and hasten an ally.

Burning Armor

When struck inflict burn to the attacker. Also gain health and guard.

Circle of Healing

When you attack you have a chance to heal yourself and your allies. The chance to heal is rolled per target.

Cleansing Tome

When you attack you cleanse yourself and your allies.

Conflagration ULT

When activated, detonate all burn stacks on your target for extra damage based on item rarity (1.25x, 1.5x, 1.75x, 2x, or 2.25x damage multiplier), and spread a percentage of the burn stacks consumed to all enemies. The amount of burn stacks spread increases with item tier.

Defender's Shield

Gain health, block and guard.

Draining Dagger

After your attack, deal additional physical damage. This damage can be blocked. The damage done drains health equivalent to the amount of damage dealt.

Eruption Tome

When you attack, you have a chance to inflict burn on each enemy. The chance to burn is rolled per target.

Feast ULT

When activated, heal and apply regeneration to the party.

Fiery Katana

When you attack, inflict burn to your target.

Freezing Tome

When you attack, apply freeze to all enemies.

Frozen Armor

When struck inflict freeze to the attacker. Also gain health and guard.

Great Sword

Adds attack at the cost of speed.

Guardian's Banner

When you attack, cleanse the ally with the most poison and burn stacks. Adds Block and Guard.

Heart Seeker

When you attack, target the lowest health enemy. If multiple enemies have the same HP, the first enemy will be selected.

Horn of Valor ULT

When activated, strengthens the party.

Ice Eater

When you attack, you have a chance to consume freeze stacks from your target to gain attack. The chance to gain attack increases with item rarity. The amount of freeze stacks consumed per attack increase also increases with rarity (2/3/4/5/6).

Ice Spear

When you attack, apply freeze, then consume the freeze stacks from a secondary target that has freeze stacks to deal a percentage of the freeze stacks as damage to the main target. The consumed freeze stacks are then applied to the main target. If no secondary target exists or no secondary target has freeze stacks, the target is instead slowed. Slow scales with item rarity (10, 12, 14, 16, 18)

IceBlueFire Sword

When you attack, apply freeze and burn to your target.

Icy Thorns

When you attack, apply freeze and have a chance to weaken to your target. The chance to weaken increases with item rarity.

Invigorate

When you attack, heal and hasten an ally.

Last Stand

Gain health and guard. When your health goes below 30% gain block until your health goes over 30%.

Martyr Plate

When an ally takes damage from an enemy's attack, some of that damage is redirected to you instead. Also gain health and guard.

Miasma Pendant

When an ally receives a debuff from an enemy, siphon some of the debuffs to yourself. Also gain health and guard.

Naginata

Adds speed and attack.

Poison Nova

When you attack, you have a chance to apply poison to each enemy. The chance to poison is rolled per target.

Polar Vortex ULT

When activated, apply freeze, then double the freeze stacks on the target. If this stuns the target, deal 10% of the target's max health as damage to the target and all other enemies.

Powder Keg ULT

When activated, deal AoE damage to all enemies and slow yourself from the knockback.

Purify ULT

When activated, cleanses and applies holy shield to the party.

Recurve Bow ULT

When off cooldown, your attack is replaced with an AoE attack to all enemies at a % of your attack. (The percent is equal to the Whirlwind attribute)

Rejuvenation

When you attack, apply regen to the party member with the lowest percent of health.

Ring of Regrowth ULT

When activated, applies regen to the party.

Soothe

When you attack, heal the party member with the lowest percent of health and cleanse the party member with the most poison and burn stacks.

Tank Up ULT

When activated, gain redirect and take reduced damage until your next turn. The damage reduction increases with item rarity (30, 35, 40, 45, 50).
