Welcome, Challenger

Challenger's Tower is a climb: spend keys to battle up the tower's floors, collect loot, grow stronger, and see how high you can get before the round ends. Every round is a fresh race — new characters, new economy, new leaderboard — but the Renown you earn is yours forever. Climb alone or with a party of up to 4, raise pets, trade on the market, and duel other teams in the arena. This guide covers the numbers you see everywhere and what there is to do.

Your Header, Decoded

The bar at the top of every page is your character at a glance. Here's what each tile means.

Health

How much damage you can take before falling in battle. You enter every fight at full health — raise it with EXP upgrades, items, elixirs, and your class. If your whole party falls, the climb fails.

Speed

How often you get to act in combat. Speed feeds your Initiative every combat tick — more Speed means more turns than your enemies. See how turns work below, as this stat is very important.

Attack

Your damage range. Every basic attack rolls a random number between the two values, so 1-10 means each hit lands somewhere from 1 to 10 damage. Raising your attack will increase both your minimum and maximum equally.

Gold

The round's currency, earned from clearing floors and winning arena matches. Spend it on the market, elixirs, pet talents, trades with other players, and respeccing your upgrades.

Exp

Experience earned from every floor you clear. Spend it in the Upgrades planner on your dashboard to permanently raise your Health, Speed, and Attack for the round. Unspent EXP just waits for you — plan your build!

Keys

Your fuel for climbing — entering a tower floor costs one key. They refill automatically (one per hour, up to your cap), and the countdown next to the number shows when the next one arrives.

Free Fails

Your safety net. If your party is defeated (or retreats) and you have a Free Fail, it's used up and the key you spent is refunded — the attempt costs you nothing. They recharge one every 4 hours, up to your cap, so it always pays to be climbing.

Peak

The highest floor you've reached this round — your score, your bragging rights, and your key to unlocks: higher peaks open tougher arena tiers and better pet training. Push it as high as you can before the round ends.

Green or red numbers in [brackets] next to a stat are bonuses (or penalties) from your items, elixirs, class, and Renown. Hover them to see the breakdown by source.

Speed & Initiative — How Turns Work

The most-asked question in the tower, answered.

Combat isn't "your side, then their side." Every combatant — players, pets, and enemies — has an Initiative meter that starts the fight at 0 and fills up over time:

  1. Each combat tick, everyone adds their Speed to their Initiative.
  2. When someone's Initiative reaches 100, they take a turn. If several combatants are ready at once, the order among them is random.
  3. After acting, their Initiative drops by 100 — anything over 100 carries over, so a fast character is already partway to their next turn.

So a Speed 20 fighter reaches 100 in five ticks, while a Speed 10 fighter needs ten — double the Speed means double the turns. That's why Speed is so valuable: it multiplies everything else you do, whether that's damage, healing, or casting spells.

Initiative can also be attacked directly. Some item attributes Slow enemies (draining their Initiative and pushing their next turn away) or Hasten allies (granting Initiative so they act sooner). In the dungeon you can watch every combatant's Initiative bar fill in real time — the Dungeon Screen guide shows where to look.

Your Adventure — What's In The Game

Climbing is the heart of the game, but it feeds a whole world of systems. Here's the map.

Climb the Tower

Spend a key, pick a floor, and fight through waves of enemies in turn-based combat. Clearing a floor pays out gold, EXP, item loot, and the occasional pet egg — and pushes your Peak higher. Fail with a Free Fail in reserve and the key comes right back.

Form a Party

Up to 4 players climb together, sharing the fight, a party chest for loot, and party chat. Use the Party Finder to browse recruiting parties or list yourself for invites — higher floors are built for teams.

Collect & Forge Gear

Items drop in five rarities — Common through Legendary — with tiers that scale their power and magical attributes that trigger in combat. Purple-marked Spells are castable abilities with cooldowns. Combine duplicates to push tiers higher.

Build Your Champion

Choose a class, spend EXP on stat upgrades, and brew elixirs for round-long boosts. Your dashboard's planner lets you preview a build before committing — theorycrafting is half the fun.

Raise Pets

Eggs drop as you clear floors. Hatch them, train their talents with gold, and bring them into battle beside you — solo climbers can field up to three at once. Spare eggs sell on the Egg Market.

Trade & Deal

Sell loot on the market, negotiate player-to-player trades, or send items and gold to partymates. A sharp trader can gear up as fast as a lucky looter.

Fight in the Arena

Build an arena team with your party and challenge other teams for gold and leaderboard glory. Reaching higher tower floors unlocks tougher arena tiers with bigger rewards.

Earn Renown Forever

Rounds end, but Renown doesn't. It's permanent account progression you spend in the Renown Shop on bonuses that carry into every future round — every climb makes the next one stronger. Past rounds live on in the Round Archive.

Note: Classes are currently disabled and may return in a future round.

That's the basics — the tower awaits.
